Seascapes painted outdoors in all weathers, then worked over in the studio until the weather is the subject.

Jonah Lisle paints the sea around Penwith outdoors, in whatever it is doing that day, and finishes the canvases in a studio above a net loft. He has been painting the same stretch of coast for thirty years and says he has not got it right yet.

His work is in the collections of Tate St Ives and the Royal Cornwall Museum.
